As I opined once to Danny, we have to sleep with some damned dirty dogs from time to time - this time the fleas are bad. They've sent 1,500 commandos into Northern Iraq, prepartory to more, according to Turkey. This now explains why they didn't want US troops in Turkey - they would have been prevented from doing so. It will remain to be seen what contingency the US has in place for this - they will have one. I personally believe the Turks are doing it for 2 reasons: first, they don't trust the Kurds to not unite and secondly they want a voice they wouldn't otherwise have in Iraq.
